We’re a multidisciplinary studio based in LA – we position ourselves as a counter culture web; an expanding project experimenting with platform creation and information dissemination. We’re an evolving project + practice made of up visual story tellers and archivists looking to connect with other makers and doers.
Kiefy operates like a school — we’re a place to learn, play, and party. A place where shared understandings emerge not from sameness, but from the quiet recognition of what it means to carry multiple worlds within you.
Kiefy Studio was founded by us (Aisha and Amro). 2 queer Arab Immigrants and eccentrics who moved to Los Angeles from the Middle East over a decade ago to pursue design + film. Our work emerges from the tension between memory and reinvention, from the need to carve out belonging where it is not readily given - we made a place to reflect our paradoxical inner and outer worlds. We are visual storytellers, archivists, and facilitators, working to connect with other makers and doers who understand that creation is never solitary.
We believe in cultural renaissance as survival—as the act of keeping our histories, present, and future selves nourished. This means tending to the ecosystems of knowledge that sustain us: the arts, music, visual languages, oral traditions, and hands-on exchange of skills.
This is not a studio that claims universality. We work with those who recognize that beauty often lives in the unresolved. This is also not a studio that claims neutrality. We celebrate the textured, the politicized, the culturally specific.
